Barbary Sheep Hunts

Free range Barbary sheep herds in New Mexico are thriving, and a rifle hunt provides the perfect opportunity to harvest one of these beautiful roaming animals. Barbary sheep tags are obtained through the draw process or by purchasing a landowner tag. We lease 14,000 acres of premiere sheep country, and during this spot and stalk hunt, you can expect to find sheep in canyons, on rock bluffs, and in the open terrain. We target Barbary sheep with beautiful chaps and heavy horns with the focus being Rams with 28 inches or larger. Shots typically range from 200-500 yards.

LODGING

Our lodge is based in beautiful Magdalena, New Mexico in unit 17. This custom home was built in 2019 and includes three bathrooms and three bedrooms with bunk house style sleeping arrangements. It is on 140 acres with incredible views which we routinely harvest elk and mule deer from. We will use this lodge for our hunts in Unit 13, 17, and 18. If we hunt in other units, we use a variety of other accommodations.

All you need to bring is your personal gear, rifle, ammunition, bow, and arrows. A short list of recommended gear will be provided upon booking.

WOUNDED GAME POLICY

In the event a big game animal is wounded, your hunt is over until the animal is found. Animals that are wounded and get away are considered yours. The outfitter and guides will expend maximum effort in an attempt to recover your animal and will make all final determinations as to the ability of the client to continue hunting if the animal is not recovered.
