Hunting Southern Colorado
We hunt the San Juan and the Rio Grande National Forests. We also have access to private land we lease to give our hunters sole permission to hunt. The San Juan National Forest covers over 1.8 million acres in Southwestern Colorado. The forest borders the Uncompahgre National Forest to the north and the Rio Grande National Forest to the east. This massive forest covers most of the southern San Juan Mountains west of the Continental Divide, and contains two alpine wilderness areas.
The name of the forest comes from the San Juan River, and was originally created by President Theodore Roosevelt on June 3, 1905. It’s a perfect place for some great elk and mule deer hunting
